On the foothills of Mount Taburno, in the village of Cautano, near Benevento, dipped in the stunning /andscape of the thriving vegetation, you can find the Masseria di Maria Winery, flagship of Antonio Caporaso’s wine-making company.
Our company boasts a centuries-o/d tradition of production of grapes far winemaking, passed down through genetations. Located on the sloaps of Mount Taburno, between the localities of Campo/i M. T., Cautano and Foglianise, we produce three high-quality, autochtonous types of wine: Aglianico, Falanghina and Coda di Volpe. In 2004 the bottling practice was a/so started. Seven of the eight hectares owned are vineyards on the hills, with South-fast exposure and altitude between 300 and 450 metres. The owner, Antonio Caporaso, is dedicated firsthand with commitment and passion to the work in the vineyards and in the winery, with the support of the who/e family,
in arder to achieve high quality wine and satisfy even the most demanding customer.
With the aim of getting the best out of the surrounding area, Antonio has created an efficient and modern concept winery, transferring all his passion to the rationality of organizing spaces and processes, in order to obtain an optimal yield of the processing of grapes, with the utmost respect for the integrity of the fruit. Built to give ample emphasis to hospitality, inside the cellar, you can feel emotions, the same emotions that Antonio and his family experience every day for their work, enchanted by the beauty of an area cradle of their vineyards.
